  • USA

  • Poland
  • Argentina
  • Brazil

If you're in the United Kingdom, you can watch The Last of Us on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV, after the company sealed a deal to bring the show to UK shores. The first episode of Last of Us premieres on 15th January 2023 at 6pm PST / 9pm EST. One day later, on 16th January 2023, the episode will be available on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK. You will be able to watch the show live alongside the USA from 2am GMT. If you're in France, you can watch on Amazon Prime.

The Last of Us HBO 2

The first season of The Last of Us will be 9 episodes long, each predicted to last roughly one hour. HBO Max — and thus Sky Atlantic — doesn't release all the episodes at once. Therefore, you'll need to tune in each week to see what happens next instead of digesting the TV series all at once. This means that, as long as each episode debuts without any breaks, the schedule for The Last of Us looks like this:

  • Episode 1 — 15th / 16th January 2023 (HBO Max / Sky Atlantic)
  • Episode 2 — 22nd / 23rd January 2023 (HBO Max / Sky Atlantic)
  • Episode 3 — 29th / 30th January 2023 (HBO Max / Sky Atlantic)
  • Episode 4 — 5th / 6th February 2023 (HBO Max / Sky Atlantic)
  • Episode 5 — 12th / 13th February 2023 (HBO Max / Sky Atlantic)
  • Episode 6 — 19th / 20th February 2023 (HBO Max / Sky Atlantic)
  • Episode 7 — 26th / 27th February 2023 (HBO Max / Sky Atlantic)
  • Episode 8 — 5th / 6th March 2023 (HBO Max / Sky Atlantic)
  • Episode 9 — 12th / 13th March 2023 (HBO Max / Sky Atlantic)

Once each episode has aired live on HBO Max and Sky Atlantic, they'll be available for viewing on their respective apps and websites.

The Last of Us is expected to closely follow the plot of the original game, which is available on PS3, PS4, and PS5. In a few places, though, the TV show will expand on some storylines with new characters, locations, and scenes. Director of the game Neil Druckmann has helped the production of the series, with Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin adapting the experience for TV screens. The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal plays Joel while Bella Ramsey of Game of Thrones fame is Ellie. For more information, view our Full Cast List.
