Hogwarts Legacy PS5 Patch Will Fix Glitched Trophy This Week

I probably won't get the platinum right away since my goal is to finish the main story in time before LAD Ishin comes out. I will likely return at some point for it though!

Glitched trophies are the day one bug that is really not forgivable.

At least they’re working on a fix for the people affected. Some games with glitched trophies never get patched - you just have to start again and hope for the best (if you can be bothered).

@C9906753 I'm glad I dodged a bullet there, I'm sure there will be more bugs to patch and it will be cheaper by the time most of them will be fixed 🥱🥱

I found another glitch (or at least what I think is a glitch) wher you can access the Headmaster's Office way too early. Just fly your broomstick to the top of the grand tower and land on the stairs with the two locked doors. Unlock them and head on down and you can find a glitched invisible set of spiraling stairs where the eagle is (with no way out, mind you) and Black is just standing in his room lol

One glitch that really sucks though is when you make potions in the room of requirement and that horrible high pitch ringing sound doesn't go away. Can't get rid of it unless you reload. Happens on occasion, one particularly bad case when I put a lot of potion stations down ...It was ear- bleeding torture.

@Bricktop33 did it? I played for 4 hours and i had no update..nothing! Ps5 is set to auto update and install..i can never understand why anybody wants to complete a brand new game as fast as they can other than to claim bragging rights or to be seen as an elite gamer of some kind. Revewiers are obviously the exception. I also dont understand how somebody can sit for nearly a hundred hours in such a short time too..baffles me. I'll take my time as i did with elden ring and enjoy every moment in this awesome game..

@huyi to be honest there are not that many bugs that break the game at all..most of the glitches i've spotted have been slight graphical hitches but nothing bad. The games launched in much better condition than most on the face of it..

Such a great game. Haven’t encountered a single bug in all the hours of play, which is refreshing for release day. Really glad they have said they are fixing the trophy thing though.

Edit: thinking about it, I did get a glitch where the controller rumble wouldn’t stop. Had to save and exit the game to resolve it.

I don’t pay much attention to trophies but I have encountered a few bugs. I had one crash that kicked me out of the game and I have also had to reload a couple of times when things/people haven’t appeared that should’ve done for progression.

Performance/frame rate has dropped quite badly on a couple of goblin battles but only for a few seconds at a time.

All just slight annoyances rather than major problems so far.

What about the issue with the game not loading if you have the ps5 beta installed. I contacted Sony directly but they refused to take any responsibility instead blaming discord 🙄

Exhibit B - Creates 3 characters for each house, gets the spellcraft for every house banner. Last house character fails to receive the banners usually given by the teacher for tutorial of the
'Room of Req'...sigh RNG dislikes griffindor.

Ah, thought so ya buggers! Been collecting tonnes of outfits, soellcrafts, broomsticks and other such folly but it says I’ve only got 104/603 which is, quite frankly, utterly incorrect. Hopefully the patch will sync things as despite knowing I need three quick partial playthroughs to nab the separate house trophies I’m loathe to think I’ll have to track down all the hidden stuff again as I’ve been balancing my gameplay on campaign and side content and thus am only part way through the main campaign where I’d otherwise be done with that and into the endgame.

@Korgon Obviously game breaking bugs are more serious but trophy issues should be picked up by the most basic play testing during development.

I usually get a technical issue if it exists, and bemoan those who claim “I don’t have that problem”.

Although as ACG on YouTube has said many times, he’s seen people say that and yet it was clearly visible on their stream!

Anyhow I’m the annoying person who has not experienced a single glitch, bug or dropped frame. Most I can cause is a 0.5s loading symbol if I’m sprinting around towards an exit to the school and the world can’t load quick enough.

That’ll be a 30sec loading screen on last gen!
