@Haruki_NLI I dunno, heard it was £70 - didn’t even bother to check the prices as it was a ways off and I was unlikely to preorder. Still don’t know what it costs now, tbh. Either way, I am now getting it for “free”* 🥳

@kyleforrester87 No monetary cost for you, but your girlfriend has your soul whilst you are still together.

@kyleforrester87 The U.S. MSRP, sans vouchers, is $69.99, which is what you might be thinking of. The UK release is £59.99 (at least on the eshop), which is roughly equivalent to the U.S. price.

I think BOTW launched at £60 here too, so I assume/assumed it was $70 in US, if so what is the story? Or was BOTW $60 at launch?

@kyleforrester87 TotK is the first $70 Nintendo game in the U.S. The price point has been a hot button issue since Sony started pushing it with its PS5 games, because the $60 MSRP has been the standard for a long while now.

@Ralizah It's funny, because it was Nintendo in Europe pushing the first €70 game with BOTW, well before the PS5. But it wasn't really talked about at all back then.
